Workplace burnout may appear in the following manner:

Unable to function with day to day tasks
Reduction of productivity
Lower motivation
Feelings of helplessness, hopelessness, and resentfulness
Physical symptoms such as; back aches, headaches, and lose of appetite
Dysregulated and disrupted sleep
Lower confidence
Withdrawal from others
Frequently calling in sick
Extended time off and/or medical leave from employment
Returning to work after an accident, illness, medical leave, and/or maternity leave can be challenging and demanding emotionally and mentally.
Counselling can support workplace burnout and returning to work by creating strategies and tools to regain strength and confidence for employment to feel manageable such as; reintroducing healthy work-life balance routines, exercise regimes, social networks and support, support for extended leave and/or return to work plans.
